Sydney International Art Series

A short and sharp, no frills weekend in Sydney visiting the exhibitions for the 2024-25 International Art Series.
We’ll include the basics, two nights accommodation, transfers and tickets and an introduction to the exhibitions.
In 2023-24 it was Kandinsky, Tacita Dean and Louise Bourgeois.

Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay

A four night / five day tour in early March 2025.
Suggested itinerary only.
DAY 1. We will begin with a pick up in Palmerston North Airport and stop for a quick visit to Te Manawa Museum. We will head off toward Martinborough in the Wairarapa for the next two nights. Enroute we will visit Masterton’s Aratoi Museum and Gallery.

Day 2. Today we spend in discovering a range of history, art and gardens in the area. Including a visit to Rototawai to view Anna Bidwell’s family home and art collection.

Day 3. We head to Hawkes Bay this morning and this afternoon visit Havelock North before ending up in Napier.

Day 4. Visit the dealer galleries and MTG in Napier this morning. Spend the afternoon in Hastings.

Day 5. Check out and head home this morning.

Nelson – in time for Jewellery Week

Spend three nights in Nelson and region discovering a range of practitioners, artists and sculptors. 
Visit Nelson and surrounding areas such as Mapua, Moutere and Tasman.

Mid April 2025

Japan 

In what is becoming an annual event, we aim to spend three nights on Naoshima and travel around Japan in Spring. 
A 12 night itinerary, travelling with Sue Gardiner, focusing on Art, Architecture and its place in nature.
Departing Mid May, very limited places available for request.

Melbourne Winter Masterpieces, Tarrawarra and Mornington Peninsula

We miss visiting Melbourne, so it is time to put it back on the schedule for 2025.
Timing will be everything for this tour. With two nights in Melbourne and one on the Mornington Peninsula, including this seasons Winter Masterpieces, then head out to McClellan Sculpture Park and galleries around Mornington Peninsular in Spring, before heading home.

September 2025

Northland

Our first adventure into Northland, and not before time. From Hundertwasser and Whangarei’s variety of artists, cultural centre, museum and Quarry Art Centre, there is a lot on offer here. 
Head up to historic Kerikeri for two nights, discover the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Matauri Bay. Finish with a night in the Hokianga and meet Tane Mahuta and the finish with a visit to a local artist in Baylys Beach.

Art, Craft and Objects in Sydney

With the help of a local Sydney based artist and curator we aim to begin a regular Trans Tasman exchange. This three night tour will include a range of practitioners, artist and galleries that focus more on the Craft, Object and Textile areas. 

August 2025 

USA – Washington DC, Boston and Falling Water

A new version of our tour cancelled in 2020, taking in a range of art, culture, collectors and making a special journey to Frank Lloyd Wrights “Falling Water”.  Yes it is in the planning. 
A 12 night itinerary may include 4-5 nights in Washington DC, 2 nights near Falling Water to explore Frank Lloyd Wright’s various works nearby, 3-4 nights in Boston and finishing in New York to enable direct flights home.
