New Plymouth and Whanganui ‘Open Studios’

Wednesday 17 March – Monday 22 March 2021

In March 2021 we will spend 5 nights travelling from Auckland via New Plymouth to Whanganui. In New Plymouth we will visit the Brett Graham exhibition at the Govett-Brewster Gallery, a local garden, meet an artist, enjoy some great food, before arriving for a weekend of art and culture in Whanganui. Here we spend the weekend discovering the regions 89 “Open Studios”. Visiting artists and studios, engaging with painters, makers, glass artists and sculptors. Always a fun and engaging weekend.

My enjoyment was mostly due entirely, to you Glen.  You were highly organised/informative and knowledgeable/ considerate and accommodating.  In summary, I consider you to be “As good as it gets! I found the entire journey full of unexpected treats and surprises – such as the Tawhiti Museum.  In every instance, your arrangements and timing were perfect to the minute!
