In March 2026 we will spend 3 nights in Whanganui for the always fabulous Artist Open Studios, and enjoy time at Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery.
Always a fun and engaging weekend. Travel to New Plymouth for one night and fly home from there.
Suggested Itinerary
Day 1. Friday, 20 March 2026
Make your way to Whanganui this morning on Air Chathams and be met on arrival.
Arrive in time to take lunch and spend the afternoon at Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery.
Day 2 & 3. Saturday, 21 March and Sunday 22 March 2026
Spend two days fully immersed in the Artist Open Studio experience, as well as meet artists other artists and studios as well.
Whether it is Duncan Pavillion and Castlecliff, riverfront and Drews Ave or among the many other studios and galleries – a fun and interesting time will be had by all.
Day 4. Monday, 23 March 206
Head north today to New Plymouth for one night and arrive in time to spend to catch the Govett Brewster Gallery and a farewell meal.
Day 5. Tuesday, 24 March 2026
Say farewell and head home today.

Budget $2500.00 per person share twin / Single Supplement $450.00
This includes:
- 3 nights in Whanganui
- 1 night in New Plymouth
- 15 seater deluxe minibus for the duration from pick up Whanganui Drop off New Plymout
- Glen as your tour guide and driver
- All gallery, museum and private visits included in the itinerary
- All meals in the final itinerary
