Brief Outline Itinerary:
Thursday 1st August on arrival we will visit downtown galleries around Cuba Street including Hamish McKay, McLeavey, Bowen, Suite and drop into Toi Poneke. Enjoy an included meal tonight.
Friday 2nd August we bus out to The Dowse Art Museum to visit Nell x McCahon and head over the hills and around Porirua Harbour to Porirua to visit current exhibitions at Pataka Art + Museum for the first time. Stop at an artist studio on our return to town.
Saturday 3rd August check out this morning and we will visit an artist or two before a stop at Page, Avid and Jhana Miller. We then collect our bags our bags and head out to the airport.
This tour will include;
- Arrival transfers if you are on the same flight as the group
- 2 nights in the Museum Hotel apartments with breakfast
- A coach for the day on Friday 2 August to visit The Dowse Museum in Lower Hutt with morning tea (and wherever else we decide has things on to see – which might be Pataka
- Nell x Colin McCahon of course
- An included evening meal on Thursday 1 August
- Gallery visits as per the final itinerary
- Two artist visits (who we pay)
- Shuttle to the airport on Saturday afternoon if you are on same flights as me
